We are very excited to announce we have a new and very experienced member of the Avenir team, joining us as Technical and Product Manager....... da da da! Mr Paul Kent!
Paul has spent the past 20 years working in a variety of R&D and formulation roles in both the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry. Graduating from the Adelaide University with an Honours project focusing on the stability of w/o emulsions, Paul started his career in the cosmetics industry as a formulation chemist at Jurlique, where he focused on developing natural skin care and colour cosmetics with an emphasis on natural preservative systems and energy efficient manufacturing processes. He then spent four years at Hamilton Laboratories developing high SPF sun care products to comply with evolving global UVA standards before moving into the pharmaceutical industry with Mayne Pharma, implementing customer formulations and learning about TGA requirements for registered products.
In 2012, Paul returned to Jurlique to lead their Australian based R&D team, before making the move across to the other side of the industry joining Avenir Ingredients as Product and Technical Manager earlier this year.
Paul‘s specific interest areas are sun protection, innovative textures, problem solving and the Adelaide Crows.’
Its that time of year again, the annual ASCC conference is on May 7-9th in Fremantle and the Avenir team have put together a jam packed schedule. We have presentations on new active ingredients, natural waxes and product protection as well as workshops to help to create colour products. Below is our schedule.
